For several years my family has travelled back and forth to the Mulli Children's Family in Kenya, a children's home to over 800 abandoned and orphaned children. We just love it there, and my kids have made some good friends.
But one thing that is desperately needed for all those teenage girls and adult women is sanitary supplies. Disposables, like we use, are too expensive. And they have little else. Often women just stay home when they're having their periods, missing school and work.
The Children's Home has tried desperately to supply everybody with pads, but with over 300 teenage girls, it's hard.
So yesterday, I hosted a sewing party for pads! We had a great time. Watch this video; it's only 1 1/2 minutes long, and you'll get the picture!
Don't you wish you were there?

Awesome Sheila! May God bless you for giving love (in such a practical and needed way) for all those precious orphan girls, and for allowing your creativity and leadership to make a difference.
