Dine Without Whine - A Family

Friendly Weekly Menu Plan
I Have a Day to Myself!
This is a silly post about nothing.

I'm just so excited. All my plans for today fell through, so I have NOTHING TO DO all day.

I got up and made the children make waffles for everyone. They are now instructed to clean up after breakfast.

I'm going to go to a Wii Fit Workout and then I'm plopping myself on the couch and I'm going to knit while watching Jane Austen movies. ALL DAY. I think this will be the biggest blissful day I've had in a long time!

And if you never get days like that, don't worry. One day your children will be old enough to make waffles, and old enough that you can leave them in another room without supervision.

And then you can have a blissful day like me!

I absolutely LOVE days like this! They are few and far between which makes them extra special. I've started getting up an hour or so earlier in the mornings, too, so I can have some quiet "me" time before the day starts. :)

I can't wait! Thing is, I have a sneaking suspicion I would feel guilty if I didn't do "something" productive. But knitting all day sounds divine. Got a little done on a scarf I'm knitting today. :) Ah well, my daughter is only six. Someday? :)

I know your blissful day is over. I think everyone should have a day like that ever so often. It's a good to rest occasionally.
